Spanning across four continents, the interest in and implementation of Sport for Life (S4L) and Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) has taken hold.

Because of this international recognition, and due to the increasing interest in Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) from sport, health, recreation and education leaders around the world, the International Sport for Life Society has been established. This society has teamed up with Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) to deliver a one-day World LTAD Symposium, coinciding with the CS4L National Summit. This symposium will serve as a forum for sharing best practices from around the world.

The 2012 World LTAD Symposium takes place February 3 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau-Ottawa, Quebec.
