The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport) to attend the 2012 Canadian Sport for Life National Summit
Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) is pleased to announced that The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport) will be attending the 2012 Canadian Sport for Life National Summit February 1st and 2nd, 2012, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau-Ottawa.
Minister of State Gosal will be speaking in a plenary address on February 1st as over 500 delegates from across Canada attend the Summit to share and to learn about the exciting process made in sport, education, recreation and health to achieve Sport for Life principles.
The CS4L National Summit brings together leaders who work to enhance the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. CS4L recognizes that quality sport and physical activity offer rich benefits to Canadian society through improved health, stronger communities, higher sporting achievement, and stronger national identity. By improving sport, CS4L aims to improve the lives of all Canadians.
Individuals are still able to register for the Summit, as well as the Pre-Summit Workshops on January 31st, and the first ever World Long-Term Athlete Development Symposium, being held on February 3rd.
Canadian Sport for Life
Canadian Sport for Life is a movement to improve the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. CS4L links sport, education, recreation and health and aligns community, provincial and national programming. LTAD is a seven-stage training, competition and recovery pathway guiding an individual’s experience in sport and physical activity from infancy through all phases of adulthood. CS4L, with LTAD, represents a paradigm shift in the way Canadians lead and deliver sport and physical activity in Canada.
